This Vibrating Atom Model Kit from Molymod allows construction of a model which visually demonstrates how the atoms making up a solid (e.g. a crystal) are held together by spring-like forces.Once constructed, hold the model at arm's length and shake lightly, and pupils will see the individual atoms vibrate and move independently due to the springs holding them together.
