The SMP11 is ideal for use in education, easy to use, with no complicated programming. Monitor samples through the magnifying lens and read the temperature on the included spirit-filled thermometer, see the sample more clearly with the integrated LED lamp.The spirit filled mercury free thermometer, does not pose a health hazard in the event of a breakage.The easy to follow instructions are printed directly on the apparatus.The SMP 11 allows you to take the melting point of up to 3 samples at once for greater efficiency. The samples are placed in a melting point capillary tube and then inserted into the Aluminium block. The heating rate can be manually set between 1 and 20°C per minute, up to a maximum of 250°C.The apparatus is supplied with open ended capillary tubes, one end should be sealed using a Bunsen Burner, before use.
